Loading videos
The app holds up to four videos at once, one per tile. There are four ways to load them. All of them need Unlock Mode — in Lock Mode the videos are treated as one aligned group, and adding to the group mid-review isn’t allowed (the app tells you so in the status display if you try).
Open Video (single file, into the selected tile)
Open Video on the transport bar opens a file picker for one video, starting in your default videos folder (chapter 14). The file goes into the currently selected tile — replacing whatever that tile held — or into the next empty slot if nothing is selected. Use this when you want to control exactly which tile a video lands in, or to swap one angle for a different file.
Add Video(s) (several files at once)
Add Video(s) opens a multi-select picker, also starting in your default videos folder (chapter 14). Each chosen file fills the next empty tile. Nothing already loaded is disturbed — this is purely additive. If you pick more files than there are free slots (four in total), the extras are skipped with a note in the status display.
Drag and drop
Drag video files from Explorer anywhere onto the window. Works exactly like Add Video(s): each file fills the next empty tile, up to four, never replacing anything. If the app is in Lock Mode or already full, the drop is refused and the status display says why.

Command line
Up to four paths passed on the command line load at startup (see chapter 2).
Closing a video
Close Video (Unlock Mode) closes the selected tile’s video only. The tile itself disappears and the remaining tiles close ranks — unless it was the last one, in which case the tile stays, empty. Other tiles are never disturbed.
Good to know
- The first video you load automatically becomes the zero-point video (chapter 3). You can move the designation later.
- If your footage is a single file with several camera angles recorded one after another, split it into separate videos inside the app first — see chapter 4.
- Each tile shows the video’s first frame as soon as it loads.
- The layout adjusts automatically as the number of loaded videos changes (chapter 6).
- Most common formats play (MP4, MOV and similar). Decoding is done by FFmpeg, which handles nearly everything.
- Four tiles of high-resolution video decoding at once is demanding on the graphics card. If tiles start to freeze or stutter while the sound plays on, that’s not an app fault — it’s the GPU running short of memory. Chapter 12 explains the warning you’ll get and what to do about it.
